Weekend Brunch at Leopold’s of London, Abu Dhabi

Leopold’s of London is already famous in town for its coffee and hearty food. Now that they have launched their Weekend Brunch, this is a must try for all of you out there who are fans like me and bring along with you those who have not tried this yet.

The brunch menu is short and extensive at the same time. Why? When asked what and how can we pick our dishes; we were told the entire menu would be served. All this for AED 79! You are kidding me.

Are you even at Leopold’s without a cappuccino? Starting off with the basics, the breakfast items were flowing on to the table. Pancakes, French Toast, Mushroom Omelet, Scrambled Eggs with toast and the Breakfast Rosti. With eyes and mouth watering looking at the spread on the table, Little Hungry Ninja was in heaven.

I cannot begin to explain how each dish was super satisfying – but be assured that my heart was content. This is when the manager checks on us and asks if he can get the mains. Trying desperately not to go into a food coma, we sheepishly smile to give us some time.

With generous portions, the rest of the menu starts appearing – Tunisian Chicken Meatballs, Braised Chickpeas, Prawn Arrabbiata and the show stopper Roast Harissa Chicken.

Everything was visually appetizing as we get ready to dive in again for more sumptuousness.

Ninja Tip: For the mains, we ordered portions for only one person as the quantities were plentiful and did not want to waste any of these impressive dishes.

A final dessert course awaiting us which includes Carrot Cake, Red Velvet Cake and Macaroons. My personal favourite – Carrot Cake.
